Dan was just a simple boy. He was in Grade 6 attending a school in Maragondon. After lunch, since classes was over, he decided to take a different route to his home. Along the way he saw a man in his 20s. He asked why was Bob going alone. The man introduced himself as Gil and decided to go along with Dan. Dan was scared at first but then he trusted Gil. As they walk, they saw a big school. It was CNSHS. Gil said that he is an alumnus of the school and asked Dan if he wanted to go inside. Engraved on the side of the school was "Gather all hope ye who enter here." Gil says to Dante don't be scared and said that everything will be fine. He also said that there are a total of 9 stations inside. They enter and the gate closes on them so they have no choice but to venture forward.
The first station was the gate, also known as the Forgetful. In here, Dan saw students standing on a group full of men with long hair, students without their ID, students with different colored socks, people looking at their watches and other more. A guard oversees the group and the students say "I forgot" or "I didn't know" in many times. The guard then holds a paper and pen and asks the students to write their names on the paper so that they won't "forget" what they have done. Gil asks Dan not to look at them for they will get angry since they are free to move about.
The second station was the guidance center, which was also known as the Offenders. Dan sees students crying with people he assumed to be parents who were also crying. Gil explained that the students here are the ones who offended teachers, fellow classmates, and staff. He said that the head guidance teacher talks to the students and parents. They have to endure the lecture for hours and since they offended people, they were forced to look in front of the mirror and let them see the mistakes they committed. The teacher in the guidance center was also the one who chooses which station does a student go in. Dan afraid to be mistaken as one of the offenders, moves to the next station and Gil follows.
The third station was the HE room or the Noisy. Gil asked Dan to cover his ears for their noise is contagious and it will make you part of them. Dan saw noisy students outside of the room wherein some were even shouting but inside of the room were quiet people. Dan then saw a teacher playing the piano inside. Gil explained that students are forced to stay quiet and listen to the beautiful music so that they will realize that they can hear something pleasant when they are quiet. Dan and Gil move on to the next station.
The fourth station was the field or the Cutters. Dan noticed that it was full of untrimmed grass and students were there sitting with books in hand. Gil explained that those students are called Cutters and since they are Cutters, they were placed there to "cut" the tall grass. This will to surely teach them a lesson with the books of the subjects they cut. As the students were busy reading, they didn't even notice the duo so the duo left.
The fifth station was the scout rooms, also called as the Scandalous. Dan observed that there were two groups of people, facing each other oppositely, in here in two different rooms and two teachers were standing between them . Gil explained that the room to the left is the GSP room while the one to the right is the BSP room. Naturally, the girls are in the GSP room while the boys are in the BSP room. Gil said that each pair of students here are reported to did PDA or public display of affection. The teachers between them are watching their sides. They are forced to stay away from their other "half" and that for now, they shouldn't do PDA for they are still too young.
The sixth station was the gym, also called the Vandalizers. Dan can only see it from afar but he noticed a stage where in five students were standing on it. Then there are multiple lines of students. Gil said that the one on the stage is the battalion commander and the students in lines are students who vandalized the school property. They are forced to stand still for even in the slightest move, they will be asked to do a minimum of 15 squats or any other exercise. They are forced to also hold two pens in each hand to which the leaders refer to as "bananas" for some reason. One of the students sees the two and was then forced to do 15 squats. Gil pushes Dan to the next station.
The seventh station was the canteen, also known as the Tongues. Dan observed that there were students in line with food in hand. He also observed that there were no price labels. Gil explained that these students are students who doesn't follow the English speaking campaign. Over the counter are teachers and staff that don't know how to understand any language except English. So for the student to satisfy his hunger and thirst, he has to speak in English for him to pay what he got. Dan then said that he is proud of himself since he always speaks in English in his school. The two then went to the next station.
The eight station was the LRC or the Lazies. Dan observed that sweaty students were reading and writing at the same time. Dante explained that the students here were lazy so they had to get several books and then write a book report about each book. Aside from the many books they have to read and write about, it was also very, very hot inside. Dan seeing the many books, asked Gil to move on to the next and final station.
The ninth and final station was the principal's office, also known as the Hopeless. Dan then observed that the students here were crying with their parents. Gil explained that these people had committed the worst of the violations, just like cheating or repeating offences, and that there is no choice but to have them expelled, never to reach Purgatory or Paradise or true happiness.which was inside the school. The principal talks to the hopeless and tells them of the bitter news. They were so depressed for they let go of such an amazing opportunity to grow and learn inside the school.
Dan sad for the students ask Gil for them to leave but it requires Dan to hop on the back of Gil for they have to climb up the gate to get to the other side. A hole in the shape of a diploma is on the side of the gate and since they have no diploma, there is no other choice. Gil then explained that one can get a diploma by successfully reaching Paradise or graduation by going through Purgatory which are the years inside. They successfully got out and Gil went along with Dan to his house. They said there farewells and Gil left. Meanwhile, Dan is very happy since he found out that CNSHS will be a good place to be disciplined and to learn at the same time. He didn't think that those stations were something to push away students, but to make them closer to the school. Dan now knows where to go to high school.

Texting | and English Knowledge
These days, technology is everywhere. Things are made easier for us and one of those things is the cellphone. Through the cellphone, we communicate with our friends, family, and other more. We text to them to catch up with them and to know how they are doing. Most teenagers own cellphones and usually send a large number of text messages each day. I think that texting is also the same as chatting. Cellphone owners today now use abbreviations or shortcuts to save space and time in sending a message.
Many teachers, particularly language teachers, are disappointed with this. They think that texting makes a student have poor comprehension in their subjects especially when they see grammar mistakes, wrong spellings, and poor punctuation. Sometimes, the problem isn't with texting, but with the student himself. As a matter of fact, texting is a good way of practicing language because one can use shortcuts yet still understand what the message trying to say and it makes communication faster.
I also own a cellphone but I seldom use it. I only use it when we are travelling or for emergency purposes. Meanwhile in chatting, I am able to put more emotion to my messages. I sometimes put many of the same letter in a word like "heeyyyy" and it just shows how bored I really am. Texting or chatting isn't really that bad. As long as you know the rules in the language, texting shouldn't affect your formal English.

Semestral Break | A Time to Relax
Semestral break is what every student needs. A time to relax from all the school work and pressure. A time to have fun, and even with bond with families or friends. It was music in my ears when I heard that we will have our semestral break but then I remembered that it is also the time wherein the teachers will give a bunch of homework or projects. It made me think that it is not really a break but just school at home but to my surprise, the teachers really didn't give those much things to do.
The first night of our semestral break, I tried to do all of the homework needed but I wasn't able to do it. Even though I kept on thinking that I should do this so that I will be worry-free for the next coming days but laziness was just too powerful. I mainly stayed home and only went out once because of an output we needed to pass for the seminar I attended with my seminar mates. We had really fun and we enjoyed because we got to know more about each other.
Other than that, I was just at home and sometimes I am even alone but it was okay since I was able to spend my time by watching gaming videos on YouTube. People might think that I'm weird but I don't have the money to buy the games that in YouTube. It is so worth it though because some of them are really hilarious and some even gave me new insights about life. I mainly watched Cryaotic, SeaNanners, PewDiePie, and then Minx. I even downloaded a game called "Dead Trigger 2" which is a first-person shooter game. It is very addicting and I recommend people to play it if they are interested in this kind of stuff. I will usually stay up very late at night yet I don't regret anything.
I took a rest from those things and just watched "vines". I saw a vine about digital painting and I thought that I should also make a digital painting with an actual face unlike my past works which don't have faces. You can probably guess who's picture I got to do it and it was Ella's. I asked many people to see my progress and to check if it looks like her and then after that I became satisfied.
I was also getting updated with Lady Gaga through a group and I'm just really addicted to her. I was listening to her new songs nonstop each night. My sister would even be annoyed that I keep on repeating and repeating the song and I try to keep it as down as possible for her because my mom would go alongside with her. I also saw new sides of Lady Gaga that made me love her more.
My sister, who is rarely home, came home on November 1 and after going to the cemetery which is literally just behind our house and just a door away from the gym below us, we went to our Aunt's house and discovered that my cousin went home and brought something with her but it was still in her stomach or rather, womb. I was just happy for her and I can't wait to see what "she" will look like and also thank to "her", our two families are finally getting better and also, my other cousin who was like away for I think more than 3 years, was finally going back to the Philippines sometime in January.
Everyday from the start to the end of our break just went like that. I just don't like all of the horror-related stuff shown on TV. I did the projects bit by bit so that I won't have a hard time at the day before classes resume. As a matter of fact, I just needed to add a few more details to my projects and I will be finished so I wasn't really that pressured and I was even able to watch more videos. I was a little sad though because everything went so fast.
For me, my semestral break was really worth it if we focus on my personal life. I learned a lot of things and I was able to catch up with relatives because they were away for like a long time. My sisters and I had bonding moments with our midnight snacks and other more stuff. Meanwhile, if we focus on my school life, it is not looking so good because I haven't studied any of the future topics. I did not even try to open a single book that I brought home so those books were just merely props for the semestral break. I'm really happy with what happened with my semestral break because it is one of the best breaks ever. I hope this coming Christmas break will be better.
